Gimbi Corn cob litter with lemon scent, 7 L

7.69

Thanks to the size of its granules, this litter is suitable for both rabbits and rodents. It has a really pleasant lemon scent, which still is not so strong as to irritate the delicate olfactory organ of these kinds of animals. It has excellent absorbent capacities and a really effective buffer – effect on bad smells. It does not produce any dust which could be inhaled, especially by rabbits. Even if damp, it hardly tends to stick to the pet’s coat or body. Dirty and wet parts can be easily removed. It is 100% biodegradable, natural and recyclable. For certain types of animals such as rabbits, Guinea pigs or chinchillas, it can be used along with wood shavings litter, by placing them in separate parts of the tray or cage, or by spreading out a first layer of corn-cob granulates litter on the bottom of the tray and a second layer of wood shavings on top of it. In this way a double absorbing power will be obtained, avoiding the slightly abrasive effect of the granules. Chinchillas and degus use this litter for the so-called “dry-bath”. These kind of animals really enjoy this treatment to get rid of their hair impurities. As far as small rodents, such as hamsters, mice and gerbils are concerned, it is perfect to be staked up and moved around with a recreational purpose.

How to use
Pour a 3-4 cm thick layer of litter on the bottom of the cage. Clean and change the litter as needed. Wet parts and dirt can be easily removed from the cage with a plastic shovel. The litter is 100% biodegradable. It can be composted, thrown into organic waste or flushed down the toilet in small quantities. The litter can be used alone or mixed with any other Gimbi litter.
For some species, such as rabbits, guinea pigs or chinchillas, you can use corn waste litter in combination with Gimbi sawdust litter. In this case, the litter should be laid out separately in different parts of the cage or the bottom of the cage should be filled with corn waste litter as a bottom layer and Gimbi sawdust as a second layer. This provides double protection against moisture and prevents the slight abrasive effect of corn waste granules on the pet’s paws.
Chinchillas and degus use the litter as a so-called dry bath. In this way, they clean their fur, getting great pleasure from this procedure. For small rodents such as hamsters, mice and gerbils, this filler is great for playing and having fun.
